Week 4 EOC: My Own App

Far into the digital age, certain things become necessary. Apps are necessary! Everything has an app, restaurants have apps, stores have apps, even websites are turning there already popular sites into apps for your smartphone. If your app is not up to par, we wont use it, there are far too many to choose from so I’ll switch to one that works for me. Since the market is flooded with so many it’s hard to come up with something original, but with technology advancing so fast it gets fun to speculate. My idea for an app springs itself from a line of products with some state of the art technology. When talking to my friend Chris, he brought up the idea of a chapstick that you could always find. The line of products could be anything, keys, remote, debit cards, wallets, shoes, anything and everything that can be tracked by an app on your smartphone. As far as privacy goes the ability to turn a lost ping on to ping your lost possessions rather than having a tracking device that monitors the position at all times. I can not tell you how many times I’ve lost something that is not electronic and hoping that one day I would be able to find it at the “tap of the screen”, because clicking a button is obsolete at this point in time. The challenge to the app and the tech behind it is where I want to see it go. At some point in the lifespan of the tech I would like to be able to provide the tech separately, so that the consumer can choose what to track incase of loss. Ladies, ever fall victim to favorite clothing theft, not anymore. Fellows, ever fall victim small accessory theft, not anymore. Or are you just a professional at loosing everything you own, like myself. Yes!
