Week 8 EOC: The Adventure
The blood of tigers was splattered all over the forests of
Sri Lanka, because of my arrival. The war of humans vs. animals in this particular
region is a vicious one. The big cats in this region were specially bread to be
killing machines to be used as defense for invading humans. However, after
years of evolving the crazy killing machines turned on the native people whom
now are always in a constant fight. I had to make an emergency landing with my
balloon over one of the remote beaches and what I saw was charred forests and
nothing but devastation. I had to reach civilization to get resources to get
out of this proverbial warzone. On the way through the wild tropical forest, a
man-destroying Sri Lankan Tiger launched out of the shorter trees and nearly
took my head off with his razor sharp claws. Thankfully, he just grazed my top
hat, plus I ducked out of the way, but the tiger quickly regained its balance and
aggressively lounged at me for the kill. When the beast was inches from ripping
me to shreds, one of the native people harpoons the giant cat and saves my
life. When I turned around to thank him another tiger comes from behind and
rips off his right arm. I ran and ran and ran until I stumbled upon a small café.
Finally, civilization, I walked inside and the first thing they serve me is
Samosas deep fried snacks and a small bowl of Kottu. I thought about it and
thought this would be an excellent snack idea. The kind people of Bentota gave
me many weapons to defend myself against wild tigers and the resources I needed
to get my balloon off the island and back home.
Week 7 EOC: The Pitch
Imagine an island vacation in beautiful
southwestern Sri Lanka. You are on an exotic beach with palm trees covering
your hammock. Drinking your favorite drink. The perfect ocean breeze rolls over
your skin. How could life get any better? Now this situation is almost completely
perfect but the sugar in your drink is making you crave something of the
opposite spectrum of flavor. However, you are in a foreign country, what are
you going to do? Pull out a bag of Lays potato chips? No, and exotic places
call for exotic flavors, but you don’t want to leave the hammock the moment is
too good. Well your problem is solved with the bit size Sri Lankan samosas
small puffy crispy triangle bread crisps sprinkled with flavor from the most
popular dish in Sri Lanka Kottu, a mixture of spices roti bread, sautéed vegetables
and fried egg, the cheeseburger of Sri Lanka. Each chip is crunchy on the
outside and slightly softer on the inside with flavors of sautéed vegetables. This
makes the moment absolutely perfect. Your eyes are gazing at the beautiful
sunset, the libations are relaxing and calming you, and the perfect exotic
snack to satisfy the eclectic hunger that only comes from an international experience,
provided by Phillias Fogg Sri Lankan Roti Puffy Crisps. This snack is the
perfect bar snack, salty in flavor but also with exotic flavor of the Sri
Lankan cuisine. What makes it different from other snacks is that the outside
is going to be crispy like its deep fried and the inside is going to be soft
like a pretzel still with the most unbelievable flavor that can take anybody,
from the couch to the bar, to an exotic island beach on the beautiful coast of
Sri Lanka

Week 6 EOC: MeX3
Products have been a cornerstone of American culture for a
very long time. The American people are built to buy this and acquire that.
Since so much purchasing and so many types of products are out there to buy,
the products we buy are starting to say multitudes about ourselves and our character.
For myself, I think I have a specific set of products that I buy that say a lot
about my character. For starters, the first product is something that I bought
when I first could buy anything with the money I’ve earned, Ray Bans
sunglasses. When I was a sophomore in high school I got my first job at a
restaurant and with all the money that I was getting I had nothing to spend it
on other than gas. So I saved up to buy a pair of brand new Ray Bans. I’ve had them
ever since and will continue to buy them when I need sunglasses. The second
product that explains my personality is vinyl records. This product is more
recent, this started around a year ago, but the want for them is exponentially
growing. Since the vinyl is so expensive to buy new and so rare to find a used
one of the specific records that you want, the records that you do acquire say
a lot about not only your taste in music but the type of personality you have.
Lastly the products that actually say the most about me are my musical instruments.
Most of my musical instruments are acoustic, which explains my analog rather
than digital persona and anything that is digital is always bought for its
looks. I would rather buy something that looks like it’s a lot higher end than
it actually is or sometimes the opposite, I will spend a lot of money on something
like a microphone that looks cool but it looks a lot nicer than it is. American
culture at its best, buy it NOW!!!
