When it comes to great customer
service I am critical of experiences since I work in customer service. Upon
first writing this I was racking my brain trying to come up with an instance in
which I had an above and beyond experience and for the life of my I couldn’t
think of one that just stood out at me. Until the other day when I purchased a
brand new car. Now the interesting thing is although the actual buying process
was better than I expected and overall another good customer experience, the
real above and beyond experience was from, believe it or not, the insurance
company. I called the toll free 1800 number for the insurance company USAA and
the lady that helped me looked at my account and knew immediately that it was
setup wrong and could save not only me, but my mom some money as well. Every
time someone tells you they’ve spent over an hour on the phone with any company
it usually is a bad experience. This hour and a half on the phone was a
positive endeavor that inevitably saved me money. That just teaches me that not
all phone conversations with big corporate companies can be a negative
experience.
